Explosives - Where's The Legs
I sort of thought that this would happen...
I mean, I get up this morning wanting to hear what the cable news networks were going to lead with. I specifically wanted to see if the missing explosives story lost any momentum.

Well, it sure has...and I don't get it. Only one cable news network (CNN, I believe)had a story on it and it wasn't even the lead story. Every time something like this comes up...something serious that can reflect poorly on Bush, it doesn't stick for very long. All of us here can think of countless events that should have done Bush in...but no, it fades almost as fast as it appears.

What gives?!

4. Yeah, FNC, MSNBC, and CNN can't wait for the election to be over
So they can go back to covering Scott 'n' Laci all the time.

7. I agree that the complete outrage is missing BUT
it's very very damaging and telling that * refuses to even ANSWER a question about this. So Bob Woodward et al whining Kerry wont give an interview, should be outraged that * wont even answer a question or address the explosives story.

9. It's too complex an issue...
I never thought we could hang our hats on that issue. But we won 3 news cycles as a result. Only 5 more news cycles to go.

10. Just Because It's Not Above the Fold Every Day
doesn't mean it's forgotten. There were just no significant developments. The story has had good coverage and has clearly done political damage to Bush.

16. Yes, It's Snowballing Because The Admin. Is Sticking W/
the discredited notion that the weapons were gone before the invasion. Check LBN, there's a slew of stories calling them on their lies and now Kerry and Cheney are trading barbs and keeping it alive and THE hot story right now...
