I just went to vote in downtown Colorado Springs...... |
|
First think I noticed was that they had about 20 parking spaces reserved in front of the Centennial Center which made it very difficult to find a place to park. After driving around the block a couple of times, I managed to find an empty parking space.
Then I walked about 200 yards to the voting place. Good lines with people coming and going - did not seem to be too much deterred by the "no parking" spaces. Since I have to go to work shortly, I did not have time to wait and vote. I will attempt again later.

1. Why Were Those Spaces Reserved? |
|
Is there construction going on there, or are the repubs in charge in El Paso County trying to suppress the vote.
I voted last Saturday in Pueblo. I was able to drive right up to the Pueblo County Court House, park in a handicapped spot (regular spots were also available), walk in, and only waited a few minutes to vote.

3. If I Remember Correctly..... |

...they had "NO PARKING" boots on the parking meters down there during an election a few years ago.
Maybe they figure that mostly Democrats do the early voting thing, and they're trying to suppress it. Wouldn't put it past them....
