DUers, Daschle needs help. Flip-flop ads have been effective in |
|
turning voters against him. Do what you can to help.

I don't care what happens to him. He is a traitor to the party. He should be hangin' with his homie, Zell Miller.

4. I tend to agree. The democratic party needs a gut check...he's one |
|
He will not even mention Kerry on the campaign trail, and he has that ad where he is hugging Chimp. Sometimes I think the democratic party needs to torch the barn to kill the rats

I hate the thought of losing a seat in the Senate but Tom Daschle has been so bad for our party I really don't care if he sticks around or not. I agree, let him get more pictures with Bush out to appeal to his conservative State. How the hell he ever became Head of the Democratic Senate is beyond me.

6. To me his only value is in the Democratic head count- |
|
he should be dumped as Democratic leader. Spineless weenie. Put in someone with balls like Barbara Boxer.

9. That's my opinion too. |

We can't afford to lose any seats in the Senate, but we could afford to lose more spineless dweebs like him overall.

8. Screw his seat. He's a pink tutu boy who hates to disagree with Bush |
|
We need a leader of the Democrats in the Senate. What's wrong with the Democrats is Democrats like Tom Daschle.
Remember the beginning of F 9/11 with the African-American congresspeople looking for only 1 signature from a Senator???? They didn't get that signature because of Tom Daschle. He wanted to embrace George W. and have this "let's work together" party. Daschle just doesn't get it. We don't need a Democratic leader who comes from a Republican state and has to dance with the enemy.
Hillary would be a better leader in the Senate. Or Leahy. Or Durbin. Or Kennedy. Daschle is pathetic. And his wife is a big lobbyist. Not what we need at all.

10. But in this case we're talking about Democratic headcount in the Senate |
|
not replacing him as Senate Minority Leader. I'm all for that (him losing his leadership position); I can't see where losing his seat to a fascist is going to help the balance of power in the Senate.

It sickens me that NO ONE stood up, including those you just listed would be a better leader.
I want Senator Daschle speaking for me, not Thune. I'm working to get him there - should I quit doing that?
I can see the freeps now, "Even DUers don't want Daschle!"
Sometimes, this place has me going, "sheesh..."

11. Yes, he does need help. |
|
Unfortunately, it's a little late in the game for him to un-hitch his wagon from Bush and hitch it to Kerry.
Don't mourn the loss of his seat. Obama of Illinois cancels that out. and I think we're getting a better man, to boot!

I'm not a big Daschle fan but EVERY seat in the Senate counts, especially if, God forbid, Shrub gets re-selected. This is the most important election in our lifetimes and the balance of power for the whole country is at stake.
