Kos Senate Outlook: Right now he predicts a one seat gain for Dems
51-48-1 Rep, would become 50-49-1 under this scenerio and the 1 Indie (Jeffords) votes with Dems so, the senate would be 50-50 and a VP Edwards would break the tie, unless we can get Chaffee of RI to switch.

As of today Kos has Dems gaining these Republican held seats:
Illinois
Colorado
Oklahoma
Alaska
Kentucky

He thinks that Republicans may gain these Dem seats:
Georgia
South Carolina
North Carolina
Louisiana

He thinks Dems will retain the Senate seats in SD and Florida.

1. But doesn't Shit Romney get to appoint Kerry's replacement?
Kerry could always add a Senator to our side by appointing McCain to a cabinet position, leaving his replacement in the hands of a Democratic governor.

No, I believe they have to hold a special election for Kerry's spot.
But I could be wrong.

4. no new law passed over Romney's veto means a special
election to fill Kerry's seat, Dems would probably win it--and word is Barney Frank is definitely running.

6. LOUISIANA is still up for grabs
It is impossible to predict what the coonasses will do on election day but the voting has been heavy in Democratic New Orleans. Its an open primary with three dems running against one fascist. If Kerry wins and there is a runoff, Breaux's seat may stay democratic. Its interesting to note that the republican running for the U. S. Senate seat is distancing himself from his party. "I'm an independent, blah, blah."

7. Isn't he also someone who had an affair with a prostitute
and had an illigitimate child and is now running a pro-family values campaign?

12. Oh, he's a classic holier than thou
right wing hypocrite. He and his wife had "problems" but they are just a wonderful little republican family now. I do chuckle though when I see his TV ads saying how independent he is.

8. In that scenario, Jeffords could give us control again...
by simply joining the Democratic Party! He would get to thwart them yet again!

13. Ah...well, I'm hoping for a Chafee switch anyway...
That will get rid of my last reason to like the Republican Party.

9. Florida seat
I'm also worried about the FL seat that used to belong to Graham. I live in the Tampa Bay area and this race with the snake oil salesman could go either way.

I think it will come down to who wins FL in the presidental race. The winner of the senate seat is going to be riding coattails.

God, I hope it's Castor. I'm not a big Castor fan but she would be a hell of a lot better than that Republican sleaze. You should see the nasty ass lies this SOB is running in his latest commercial.

He's such a pig. Gee, I wonder where he gets it from.
