ONE Dallas/Ft. Worth radio station is playing Eminem's "Mosh!!!"

I was just driving back from lunch and heard the DJ say that he was about to play a song that was VERY important and he wanted everyone to hear it. He also said they are the only Dallas/Ft. Worth radio station playing it and that that's all he's going to say, just listen.

Then he played Eminem's "Mosh."

WOW. I was one big goose bump. When he came back on, he again said they were the only one playing it, said his CD comes out Nov. 16 and that they will have it before then to win.

I just called the direct line and talked to the woman there and told her how amazing the song was, thanked them for playing it, and she got really excited. She said to keep trying the request line so I could tell the DJ and she said she'd relay it. She said she LOVES the song and they are going to play it a LOT. That was the FIRST time they played it.

Which means it was the first time it was heard on the radio here.

I grew up there and it's mostly right-wing talk and sports shows.

3. It is amazing

but 106.7 is a little bitty station (advertising-wise, compared to the others in this market) but they are making their mark by being pretty aggressive about their programming. They started off just with dance music (club music) but have edged out into different stuff just lately.

2. I meant to say they seem to be owned

by ROI, Inc. Don't know who that is, but it's obviously not Clear Channel. I am going to email several other radio stations here (one ironically calls itself the Edge, but is Clear Channel owned and anything but edgy in its format) and ask them why they aren't playing it.

got hold of the DJ, thanked him for playing it. He said the first time he heard it the hair stood up on the back of his neck and he knew he had to play it.

He said they are going to play it more and more "in the next week or so."

Hmmmm.

6. I've driven halway to Austin and still been able to get that station

I kept it there as long as I could because I don't have a CD player in my car and it's one of the few stations in my area that doesn't totally suck.
