Kerry will close his campaign on Monday Night in...
Ohio, of course.
The final rally of the campaign will be in Cleveland (location not yet disclosed) with Bruce Springsteen once again accompanying Kerry.

Ohio is apparently our Florida in 2004 (Gore closed his campaign in Florida and spent significant time in the last days there).

On Thursday Kerry will be in Toledo and Columbus and on Saturday in the Youngstown area.

According to the campaign either Kerry or Edwards will be in Ohio everyday from now until the election.

C'mon Ohio, we need you!!

1. yeah, if we get Ohio, we can afford to lose two of the three
when it comes to Iowa, Wisconsin and New Mexico. That of course assumes we would get all the other Gore states. I think we have a great chance of winning all three states, but Ohio would be the icing on the cake. If I see we win Ohio on Nov. 2nd, I know we have it in the bag.

2. What about FL
We are running very strong there in the public polls. Do they feel that FL is closer to where it needs to be and OH needs more help? Or is it the opposite?

5. They will be in Florida, too! Taking Ohio from Dubya would be delicious!

Taking this traditionally Republican state would be mighty powerful political symbol.

From ABC'ss The Note today..."Senator Edwards is in Florida all day holding three early vote town hall meetings: at 11:00 am, 2:50 pm, and 6:30 pm ET in Clearwater, Kendall, and Cocoa, FL, respectively. He flies to Duluth, MN to preposition for Thursday events tonight."

4. Kerry will be a legend after this.
Defeating that nothing bastard will be a story book triumph of good over evil.

6. Excellent news!
Frankly, if votes were counted, I'd say Florida is in the bag. I do think it's going Kerry, just like it went Gore (had the votes been counted).

But seeing as the votes probably won't be counted (or perhaps an extra, I dunno, 58,000 Republican-marked ballots will show up at the last minute somewhere), I think Ohio is a great idea for the final push. Because I don't think Kerry has to rally Florida to win it. He just has to stop it from being stolen. But I'm not sure he can.

7. Kerry needs to spend more time in Wisconsin and Iowa
Bush has more or less conceded Ohio. You won't see many visits from Bush there. May be one more Ohio visit. He has lost Ohio. Period.

Bush is trying very hard to counter this loss with wins in WI and IA, which are worth 17 EV. And NM too which is worth 5 EV.

So, his strategy is concede 20 EV and gain 10 from WI (a must win for Bush. A win or die state for Bush) and either NM or IA.

Bush is also counting on Florida's 27EV.

His tactic is surprising for an incumbent but may very well pay off.

8. Why not close Tuesday?
He should head to Florida and break out the bullhorn for some GOTV.
