both parties surpressing vote, msnbc
Edited on Wed Oct-27-04 02:42 PM by seabeyond
going to areas where they know their supporters are and sending ads to keep the other side not wanting to go vote.

this is their explaination of voter supression and still be able to blame both sides.

that was it.

why didnt they mention the
caged voter
58,000 lost abenstee ballots
police barracades
christian group throwing away democrat reg
repugs changing dems to repugs
voter intimidation
poll place limiting

i mean, i think i am seeing other things that will strongly say voter supression besides going to area of supporter to get registration

1. There's a difference between running negative ads
And actively trying to remove voters from the rolls, keep them from casting their votes, etc.

Even to hint at equating them is offensive.

3. Running ads is a fair way to try and convince people who would have
voted for your opponent to instead simply not vote.

Stealing 58,000 ballots, on the other hand, is a felony.

4. NBC has an 800-number for reporting voting problems
tell me, who would trust them?

5. Ads aren't the problem
Ads are part of the game. Sending thugs to hang out at polls in minority neighborhoods to harass voters = suppression.

Unbelievable how they leave that out.
