There is no purely military solution to the quagmire in Iraq, just as there was no purely military solution to Vietnam. In a way, Iraq is even worse, since Vietnam had only 4 sides (remember the endless arguments over the shape of the table for the peace talks in Paris? They'll need a 50-sided table for any peace talks in Iraq!)
