The big news story will be WTF happened to all the polls. Kerry is more ahead than people think.

8. If they want any credibility, the pollsters will have to stop |
|
skewing their polls by weighting them heavily toward the GOP on Sunday, at the latest.
I just drove by the early polling place here in central NM, and the line was all the way down the block. Kerry signs outnumbered Bush signs 15-1, and that includes in a very upscale neighborhood. This is NOT good news for Bush, and it's even worse news for polling companies that want to keep it credible.

3. I actually believe that both a Kerry landslide and a Bush landslide... |

...are more likely than a close election.
The most likely, by far, being a Kerry landslide.

4. Yes, it's going to be as close as 2000 |
|
A real nailbiter. There's absolutely no evidence at this point to suspect otherwise.

Based on the 2000 polling results, Gore received on average 6 points more than major polls showed.
I don't think their methodology has improved in four years.

20. I agree ... think about it this way ... |
|
Do you KNOW OF anyone who voted for Gore in 2000 who has decided to change their vote for Bush come November 2nd?
The answer for me and all other folks I know is a resounding "NO"!
Remember, gore won the popular vote by a half million.

6. The polls will be neck-and-neck until election day |
|
and then the election will show a Kerry win by 3-7% of the popular vote.

7. It won't be close - Kerry wins in a landslide |
|
The polls don't take into account all the newly registered voters of whom 85% are in favor of Kerry.

...a landslide victory for Kerry/Edwards. If you haven't picked up on the tale tale sign then you haven been paying attention, you'd been lead around by the nose by the media cable whores.

the cheating that will take place. 'Tis a two way street we're on, not a one way with no hope. Trust me!

Word on the street is that bush is a goner. I haven't met one person that can admit to supporting him and alot feel the country will be destabilized by his election.

18. Too many signs pointing to Kerry to believe polls |
|
Aside from the polls, which have a vested interest in a close race, evidence of an upcoming Kerry win abound:
Newspapers and periodicals are leaving Bush in droves for Kerry
All of us know republicans who will vote for Kerry. Few of us know democrats voting for Bush.
Serious numbers of republican diplomats and career military have come out for Kerry
Some traditional red states are surprisingly close
Turnout will be high. New, motivated voters are younger and tend democratic
If one stops to remember the past 4 years, the number of disasters, blunders, and scandals is unprecedented and is continuing at an accelerated pace
Huge crowds at Kerry rallies. Pathetic fake crowds at Bush rallies
The rest of the world, not too much different from us, supports Kerry by wide margins
Lies, distortion, campaign dirty tricks, voter supression are signs of Bush desperation
Giving up on a platform plank (gay unions) just before the election in an effort to reach the center is a sign of desperation.
Many stories (mine included) of seeing more Kerry signs than Bush signs in traditional conservative areas
The DNC ability to compete with the RNC in fundraising is a telling sign. Far fewer people contribute to the RNC, but they contribute greater sums per capita. That the DNC was competitive in fundraising is testimony to the high number of supporters, not the depth of their pockets.
Just don't pay attention to the polls and it all seems clear!
And even if you accidently see a poll or two, note that the trend is Kerry, note that republicans are oversampled, see that Bush approvals are awful, and remember that polling companies and media outlets both have vested interest in close, dramatic, soap opera elections.

22. In my opinion, no. And the polls are WAY off. |
|
They were off in 2000, too -- when they predicted an easy Shrub win of something like 4 or 5 percentage points. And we all know how that turned out.
Now, the polls are even worse in their unexamined (or possibly deliberate) bias towards Repug voters. This just means that if Bush is ahead by only a little, that lead doesn't exist. Where the polls say Bush and Kerry are tied, you can take it to the bank that Kerry is in the lead. And where they say Kerry leads? That lead is sure to be even bigger than indicated.
Keep hope. Work to get out the vote (GOTV). The final tally won't be as high as it could be if all the votes were counted fairly and every voter allowed to vote in the first place -- but DESPITE their cheating and vile crimes against democracy, we shall prevail.
