I hope Boston doesnt win tonight |
|
Don't get me wrong I want Boston to win, but if they do it might slow Kerry's momentum. The media will ignor the stolen weapons and just talk about the curse being broke. One more day of this story and we are home free.

get this series over with so we can get back to important business. the closer to the election the series ends, the worse the distraction will be.

3. Not me, let the Missourians have time to get over this |

I don't know if we can pull out Missouri or not. But 6 days is like the theory of a cooling off period for buying a firearm. I don't want St Louis to threaten a comeback, and boost hopes of its fans, only to have Boston lock it up closer to election day.

4. It's better if they do |

Get it done and get it out of the news cycle. It won't hurt the momentum, and superstitious types will see it as an omen.
Never having been a fan of any sport, I can still see that the Boston fans deserve to break their curse with an undeniable trouncing, and I wish 'em the best. It's a fun spiritual feeling to know that virtually every kid I grew up with is watching tonight, even as I'm out playing poker...

9. Agreed, major sporting events have a history of "affecting" elections |
|
Although of course I can't find any examples now. >_<
