What channel will you watch on Tuesday? |
|
Or will you surf? I watched the debates on cspan, but will want to see the local updates too. The coverage is mostly unwatchable on the networks, forget about cnn etc.
Any thoughts?

Or maybe I'll just constantly refresh one of the network's results page - the only thing they're good for these days.

21. How does their election coverage work? |
|
I'm a new C-Span convert...just wondering. Do they have a host calling each state as it's polls close, or what?

that way I can be right up to date with their efforts to steal it, to get a head start on rebuttal.
Hopefully though I'll be at a victory party, and I won't have to watch them at all

Sorry but I'm evil. I don't want to miss when they break out the kool aid. It will be the most fun I've had in ages. Of course, I'll have to flip to NBC to watch flush start sucking down the tranquilizers again.

Have to watch O'Reilly and his "no spin zone" spin the outcome. I will also go to the local PBS for the state results.

Last election, Dan Rather had the misfortune of having the worst, and I mean the worst, set of one-liners given to him by his writing staff that I have ever heard in my life. I'll post tomorrow with the ones I wrote down.

26. Process of elimination: |
|
I like Dan, sort of, since he reminds me of my youth and watching him in Dallas on 11/22/63 but he narrated that audio track about the Zapruder film before it was released and lied about the head snap...and his Ratherisms last time in 2000 were too much to take so....
Brokaw, is OK, except that he has that speech impediment which is getting worse, he's getting wistful since it is his last election, and if Rush is gonna be on, I can't listen to that gasbag being portryed as anything but an addicted buffoon, and a felon, though unconvicted as of yet. Wait a while. Plus Andrea Mitchell and Russert are like the Anorectic/FatBoy duo and repulsive to stare at
Jennings' problem is that he's just so matter-of-fact. I find him emotionless and there's a horrible chance that Cokie and George (Will and Steph) will be there with their snotty accents.
CNN and Blitzer and Woofwoof (a nom-de-plume which I coined) - off the charts - I'm boycotting due to utter revulsion. The automatic gainsaying of Dems has turned me off to their political coverage forever.
MSNBC: I hate the way that Tweety claims he's from Philly, my home town, and he is so reviled here that it is probably dangerous for him to come into town. He's a schmuck...and a flip-clopping press whore. I hear his wife is nice...maybe she'd like to stop by my place for a drink with my family as we celebrate, 'cause I hear she's a liberal Dem. Good for her - I hope he chokes.
PBS: Lehrer B+ but the rest of them are iffy,m except Schorr and I don't know that he'll be on TV.
C-Span: Like watching clothes dry. I recall in 1992, someone called on the Rethug line and said that she was going to put her American Flage away for 4 years since Clinton was elected. The moderator smiled a little bit. Didn't like that at all.
Fox: Can you say Schadenfreude? But I dont' know if I can watch them squirm for 6 hours. On second thought, maybe I can!!
Comedy Central: Somehow, I'm not in a laughing mood. Under other circumstnces I might be but I'm scared to death, and I feel like when you're in the wings ready to go on for a role in a play and you're waiting for your cue.
I guess I'll set up 3 TV's invite some liberal friends and drink and PRAY TO GOD. And work those channel changers to death. As I once said to my friend about his girlfriend's extreme physical needs and his exhaustion from his residency..."You can't have too many alkaline batteries in a house, if you know what I mean"
