Zogby polls are messed up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
|
While it's a nice thought, Kerry is not leading in Colorado by 4. He is also not tied with Bush in Michigan. It isn't even close there. Kerry by 5 at least. Zogby is screwy. http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=910

2. The Zogby online poll has a major glitch! |
|
Poor Q/A on their part. If you scroll up to look at your answers and do so over the document instead of the scroll bar, you change your selections. I went from Kerry to the Libertarian guy doing just this last night. I like Zogby in general. I'm starting to think there may be technical foul ups or maybe a 'troll' in his midst (haha).

but, the most screwed up is SMS which has scrubbie winning in Hawaii. I cannot imagine how scrub could ever win in Hawaii.

That jibes with what I'm seeing. I'm in Adams county regularly and a precinct captain in Boulder County. I've got friends in Larimer and Weld counties - Musgrave's territory - and Kerry is doing really well in all of the above.
I know nothing about Michigan, but Kerry +4 in Colorado is very plausible.

I want to vote yes, but if we have a chance of going blue, I'd vote no.

13. I'm in the same boat. |
|
I'm getting the polls tomorrow afternoon and we're voting Friday. If Kerry's up tomorrow afternoon, we're voting against it.
It's the fair thing to do, admittedly, but we're afraid of unintended consequences of it being not adopted nationally. We don't want Colorado to become a flyover state because we only have a single electoral vote up for grabs.
Sigh....

17. It's too easy to hack em, though, don't you think? |
|
in fact, next time around, we could all game his system by "becoming" traditional republican voters, who late in the poll process suddenly switch to dem.

16. Wouldn't it be waaaay to easy to lie on his poll? |
|
I am an online poll-taker for Zogby, and I do notice that they ask me questions that must be designed to see if I give consistent answers each time -- like my zip code, etc. (that twain quote about liars need good memory)... but I could easily have entered their poll with a fake list of who I was from day one (I'm a former gore voter, liberal, who HATES that John Kerry guy the more I see of em and just LOVES gw...). If I just keep the list by my computer, it would be easy to rig that thing, create a fake identity.
I think Zog has been set up by a clever Karl Rove.

19. Pay attention to the MARGIN OF ERROR... |
|
... if the poll is conducted PERFECTLY, with LV and Dem/Rep samples accurately reflected, the poll can still be off 4.1% in either direction.
Polls never were meant to have the meaning some want to give to them. If you are paying attention to 3% movements, you might as well be flipping a coin.
