Amazing Joe Biden quote in new WaPo article
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A1733-2004Oct27.html

In a conference call arranged by the Kerry campaign, Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (Del.) issued an extraordinary rebuke of the administration. Because of missing explosives, "my kid and a lot of other kids might get their ass over there and get blown up by these because of their civilian incompetence," he said, his voice rising to a shout.

1. I love Edward's quote and hope it will get some air play when
this topic comes up but Kerry may have to say it himself to get some coverage.

"Campaigning in Florida, Kerry's running mate, Sen. John Edwards (N.C.), kept the emphasis on the missing explosives. "What is he talking about?" he said of Bush's charge that Kerry is "denigrating" the troops. "Aren't we sick and tired of George Bush and Dick Cheney using our troops as shields to protect their own jobs instead of doing everything they should to protect our troops? Our men and women in uniform did their job. George Bush didn't do his."'

So TRUE! and it pisses me off to no end when * and Dickwad keep saying this sh#%!

2. Yep, this is the Republican's new talking point to divert attention and
to them it fits into the narrative they have of Kerry.
Hannity tonight actually said Kerry disparaged the troops 30 years ago and he is doing it again now. He said Kerry needs to apologize to the troops in Iraq. Then they had Laur Ingraham on and lo and behold she said the exact same thing. It's their talking point.

3. Kerry has explicitly stated that the troops did everything they were
asked to do. This isn't about the troops, it is about the CinC's incompetence.

If they say this crap any more JK needs to get this quick comeback out there in a sharp sound bite form.

4. Here was Kerry's quote from today:
Regarding the missing explosives, what Kerry said Wednesday, "The IAEA warned the Bush Administration and the UN Security Council before the war that this weapons site was critical and needed urgent protection. The U.S. commander who reached the sight was never told to stop, inspect, and protect it. He was never even told what it was." Kerry went on to say, "The troops did their job, the commander in chief failed to do his."
