As Josh Marshal says, "you can't make this shit up... Or, actually, you can."
GERTZ // THURSDAY // WASH TIMES: Russian special forces troops moved many of Saddam Hussein's weapons and related goods out of Iraq and into Syria in the weeks before the March 2003 U.S. military operation, The Washington Times has learned. John A. Shaw, the deputy undersecretary of defense for international technology security, said in an interview that he believes the Russian troops, working with Iraqi intelligence, “almost certainly” removed the high-explosive material that went missing from the Al-Qaqaa facility, south of Baghdad.

Couldn't we just ask them?
If my neighbor saw I left my door unlocked while I was on vacation and moved my laptop to a safe place, I think he'd tell me when I got back.

They couldn't see a division of Russian troops moving 350 tons of high explosives to Syria?
Someone thinks we're all stupid.
We knew everything that was going on in Iraq prior to the equation, according to the Administration's brag-meisters. But we didn't know about all those Russian soldiers? Maybe Chalabi left that out of his reports?
