Pro-Kerry ads just started here in Memphis - is TN a battleground again!
I've seen two pro-Kerry 527 ads in the last few minutes here on the Fox affiliate in Memphis (following the World Series). One was the Brooke's Story ad (brother killed looking for WMD)- really powerful - and the other was a Move On ad (which, to be honest, was not the best).

I have not seen any ads on local stations here for the entire campaign. Are we a battleground again?

1. Is it possible they're trying to get the ads on in the Arkansas market?

3. Very good point!
Our TV stations do hit a lot of Arkansas residents.

6. I was wondering whether they were saving and saving for this last week...
It would fit with Kerry's "closer" rep, certainly. I hope it's true, anyway; it'd make me feel like my money was well spent.

5. We're bombarded here in NC, too
We're even getting NC-centric ads focusing on Edwards. "From Us. For All Americans."

The latest published poll showed Bush expanding his lead here, though (but of course I do not trust Mason Dixon for anything). It is possible that they're throwing Hail Marys in every state.

7. I was reading something to the effect that they
now have twice as much cash on hand as Bush. They're in an excellent position to start taking some risks with some states where they might not have as good a chance.

9. I have a good feeling about Tennessee
My son and daughter attend a college in a very conservative area. They have been campaigning like MAD on campus. Last week the student election results were in: Kerry 61% to Bush* 39%

I believe Tennesseans are fed up with Republicans. Rural Tennesseans are pretty miffed that Frist got his flu shot while many of them are left with nothing ( talk about your Repuke manly men there!). We have Bredesen - a Democrat - as Governor.

I just kind of grin to myself when I see that red Tennessee on the political maps. Maybe not this time, friends. I'm hoping Kerry goes to the Dems and I am believing for it, too.

12. Afro American were mad at Bush like hell yesterday
Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 01:58 AM by truevoice
because Bush turned down an interview with 200 black media NNPA after they have waited for months. Read story of The Tennessee Tribune then we know what will happen at TN.

Wouldn't it be great if the south was not as red as the Republicans think? I would love it if we stole a bunch of red states!
