My Election Night Guide (for the anal)
I was bored and decided to put together a little Election Guide for those of us with stupid questions like "What time do the polls close?", etc. It has tons of useless information like that and links to every state's official election site. If people start streaming vote counts, I'll add the links to those on Election Night.

I hope someone finds this useful. If you do, please bookmark it and keep it kicked.

3. Ohhh DinoBoy
I love your map. Go down to the bottom of the page in the guide I posted. There's a good one about the voting times on the Green Papers site. They show what times the results should start rolling in.

4. It isn't MY map :-)
It's from Dave Leip's US Election Atlas.

I thought I was the only one anal enough to need this information! ;)

I just had not gotten around to getting it together yet. Now you did it for us!

Edited to add: Oops. Never mind. Started to ask a question, but realized I know the answer already.

15. Replies to #5, #6, #7, #8 & #9
Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 03:10 PM by footinmouth
#5 - LizW: "I thought I was the only one anal enough to need this information!" I suspect there are plenty of us out there who will need something to do Election Night. Hence, the guide for the anal voter was born.

#6 - bobbieinok: "what am I missing, reading this::: where is Iowa?????" Iowa is right where it belongs, on the Central Time page in alphabetical order. I don't think it's gone missing.

#7 - Skinner: "This is really excellent. I think we're going to steal it" LOL, no need for theft. I'll give you the thing. I'm still adding to it as we speak.

#8 - iwillalwayswonderwhy: "What is P, S, & G?" I added a key at the bottom for those who aren't anal enough to figure it out.

#9 - joshuasmommy: "Here in OK, our polls close at 7 PM, but the map shows them closing at 8." I didn't post the map but I just went and looked at it again. The times are posted in EST and OK is in CST, so I think the times on the map are correct.

I'm glad a few people found this useful. I'm going to keep working on it and put up some links to live results. It will save people time hunting around for them. Be sure to refresh your pages constantly. I'm making it my weekend project. I have no life.

Edited for sloppy use of html tags, sorry
