The poll of 601 likely voters Oct. 21, Monday and Tuesday have a margin of sampling error of 4 percentage points, up or down.

"Kerry's 47-42 lead is technically within the poll's margin of error. But it certainly looks good for John Kerry in Michigan," said Steve Mitchell, whose company conducted the poll for The Detroit News.

An Oct. 18-21 poll of 610 people by Epic-MRA for WXYZ-TV in Detroit found Kerry at 49 percent, Bush at 43 and Nader at 1, with 7 percent unsure.

The best part is, this poll was conducted by our local Republican leaning paper...the Detroit News.
