Washing DC property for sale |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 09:05 AM by real democrat
I talked to my brother in Alexandria, Virginia last night, and his son ia real-estate agent there. He tells me the Bush administration people has started putting their property up for sale in DC and nearby areas. Knowing the end is near, and they will not be around after Jan. 2005..

Though there are frequently many changes in presidential administrations at the start of a second term as well.

It's a touch premature to start measuring drapes.
No matter who wins, there's gonna be a shift of bodies...mostly top administrative, inside the beltway, but it's more musical chairs than packing up moving vans.
Washington's the nation's largest company town...most the people who work for the government and their jobs are rarely affected by an administration change...look how Linda Tripp was kept on during the Clinton years. It's the Secretaries and Assistant Secretaries that move around...to the victors go the spoils...and the defeated will make their hasty retreats to the slimy covered halls of the American Enterprise Intitute or the Heritage Foundation.
I can already make this bet if Kerry wins...we'll see at least one or two more of these right wing foundations spring up or play shadow government again...but that's another issue.
Even if Bunnypants survives, expect Colin gone and a shake-up in a lot of other department rewarding those who kissed the biggest ass and punishing those who dare to not give total alliegience to the evil empire. But hopefully that won't be a problem. Still we have work to do.

If so, that is the biggest and best sign that Bush is finished. When the rats leave the ship, it is over. You don't put your property up for sale if you plan on being around.
This news has made my day! Please thank your brother for me!

Don Evans, Sec. of Commerce, and Andrew Card, Chief of Staff, have already sold their homes.

10. They must be just selling up. |

Buying better properties in lieu of the huge profits they will make in the coming years of the shrub regime. The true test of this, Who is buying the homes the shrub admin is selling?

11. Yes, it's the buyers I'd be more interested about |
|
OK, so Evans, Card, etc. homes have sold, then escrow and closing. I suppose actual date of possession can be part of the final agreement, but what's the average number of days till closing?
Or maybe some of them need the money for lawyers...(can you say Plame indictments? *wink*)

I see you are an ex Navy pilot. What are your old Navy buddies saying about Bush. I have a good friend who is an ex Navy pilot who now flys for United. He is pissed at Bush and says that most of his pilot friends are pissed as well. Are you hearing the same thing?

Most of the VF-152 and VC-61 pilots from the Korea day are gone, as they were mostly WWII flyers. About 1/2 of the Vietnam boys(pilots) are for Kerry. A couple would rush to line up in front of a firing squad, if GWB ask them..

14. As much as I'd like to believe this... |

I don't find it likely that Bushies are bailing out early.
First: The DC real estate market is so hot and over-valued that I think the Bushies could easily sell after the election without any hassle.
Second: There could be other explanations for Card and Evans to sell their homes. Maybe Evans was planning on leaving in any case. Maybe Card wanted to buy another home.

The rats are jumping ship!
Let's go with that one for now. It is more fun to think about.
