One of Bush's favorite curse words is Massachusetts, but the Boston Red, as the perennial but scrappy underdogs to the Yankees, elicit almost as much national empathy from fans as the Cubs. It does undercut the emotional basis for some of Bush's anti Kerry smears.

So naturally I am upset that we got swept. HOWEVER: I was more than pissed when shrubya threw out the first pitch at Busch Stadium this year. I'd rather see the Cardinals lose than see George W. Bush win re-election-with the Redbirds, there's always next season. I can't take another 4 years of Bush.

Oh, and let's hope that the Redskins lose this Sunday against the Packers. The Skins football game the weekend before E-day has predicted the winner since like, 1936 or something when it comes to incumbent presidents.. I think.
