1. Yes, although there is no logic behind it.

2. No. I'm a Yankee fan. If Kerry loses after what I've been thru
the last week I may not make it thru November. Seriously.

4. Awwwwww!
Poor leetle feller with those measly 26 championships. We oughta give the Yanks the trophy to show what good sports we are. Maybe not. :D

Sox sweep = Kerry landslide :bounce:

3. Yes, and there is some logic behind it.

One of Bush's favorite curse words is Massachusetts, but the Boston Red, as the perennial but scrappy underdogs to the Yankees, elicit almost as much national empathy from fans as the Cubs. It does undercut the emotional basis for some of Bush's anti Kerry smears.

6. Yes, because it might shake loose some Christian fundie votes
After all, the Bosox rose from the dead after three games to miraculously beat the Yankees, and then juggernauted their way through the World Series. We can now argue to them that it's God's way of saying that Kerry is HIS candidate!

First, the lifting of the curse. Second, the come from behind thrashing of the Yankees, the epitome of Republican big money elitism. Third, the fact that the team from Massachusetts defeated a team owned by "Busch." They not only defeated them, they humiliated them. Think landslide.

Add in the full moon eclipse. Astrologically, Bush is a Cancer, ruled by the moon. His moon has been eclipsed. George W. Son of a Bitch has had his time, now it's time for him to go.

18. Die Hard Cards fan
So naturally I am upset that we got swept. HOWEVER: I was more than pissed when shrubya threw out the first pitch at Busch Stadium this year. I'd rather see the Cardinals lose than see George W. Bush win re-election-with the Redbirds, there's always next season. I can't take another 4 years of Bush.

Oh, and let's hope that the Redskins lose this Sunday against the Packers. The Skins football game the weekend before E-day has predicted the winner since like, 1936 or something when it comes to incumbent presidents.. I think. I believe Keith Olbermann will talk about it on Countdown tonite or tomorrow.
