Good Sign: No B/C signs with local repub politican signs |
|
Is anyone else noticing this? Here in State College, PA I am seeing a lot of signs for local republicans running for office that DO NOT have the Bush/Cheyney counterparts next to them. However, whenever I see a local dem sign, there is always a Kerry/Edwards sign.
What I am gathering from this is that many members of the republican base are either not supporting B/C or they don't feel good enough about them to put a sign up.

2. I've noticed the same thing in my county. |

Champaign County in Ohio. There are a lot of repub local signs in some yards with no B/C sign. Either they don't support * or are to indifferent to show their support. Of course, there are still a lot of B/C signs because this county is mostly repub. But the good news is the B/C signs are not overwhelming. There are a lot of Kerry signs too. Back in 2000 I saw very few Gore signs.

I never thrilled but always slightly pleased when I see Republican bumper stickers or yard signs without B/C signs. I suspect there will be many voting a straight Republican ticket for locals but not choosing a President this year because they consider themselves "good Republicans" and thus cannot bring themselves to vote for such a reckless jerk as *.
