Has Bush Given up on Florida?
I have noticed that there is a big focus on the upper midwest in the last week or so but Bush is not going near Florida. Wonder if that signals that although the polling says its a dead heat.... They recognize alot of bad news in their internals? Thta is the turnout is going to be huge and Bush is not foing to pull enought to counter.

2. My guess...
Jeb has assured him that the fix is in... "Don't sweat Florida, bro! It's in the bag!"

4. I Agree Florida Is Lost But We Can Still Win If We Take OH...
My electoral vote count estimate is 286 Kerry, 252 Bush, with us losing IA, picking up CO and New Hampshire and holding the rest of the Gore blue states...We can still win even if don't pick up CO and NH... Win OH and PN and it's all she wrote for the BFEE...I think that's very doable...I'm working for a surprise pickup of 11 in MO....That's within reach too....

14. Florida is lost?
why do you say that? This time last year I was convinced we'd lose Florida, and with it the election, when they called Florida for Gore I literally cried.

I'd think with every Dem in Florida so mad about last year, we'd win for sure.

16. I don't think FL is lost!
I think Kerry will take FL by a wide enough margin to nullify Jebbie's attempts to steal it again...

6. Since he has conceded Ohio
He can't afford to lose Florida.

Of Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania, Bush must take two of them to win.

9. Nope...
* won't win PA. I live there, and there's just no way.

I suspect he'll lose Ohio as well. One poll yesterday had Kerry up 5% and Zogby has him up 2%.

I basically don't give Florida a second thought because we can take it to the bank brother Jeb is gonna cheat for him, so I don't even bother thinking about the possibility of us winning it. If we get OH, WI, MN, we'll be good.

10. Concede Ohio?
He's going there today. He's also in Michigan, which has tightened up in the past few days.

7. What do you think Jeb is for??? Kerry can win by a zillion votes
down there but he will never be declared the winner. In fact, I don't know why JK is wasting a minute or a dime down there!!! It just isn't going to happen. I mean already they are screwing around with the Dem voting areas and playing innocent. They are brazenly now doing criminal acts and don't give a damn if it outrages people or not. Why?---because they know in the end they will get by with it. No one will pay. No one will go to jail. Pass Go and collect Florida for Bush!!!

8. My take
Is that he is going to where Kerry is going becuase having the candidate in the state moves votes. If he isn't in Florida the Undecideds will shake out the way things typically do.. and there is not much to change the outcome.

11. I Don't Usually Quote Or Like David Brooks But...
he said yesterday there was no empirical evidence that candidate visits more votes...I'm not sure, but that was his take.

New unemployment filings up 29K this week. OH is in sad job shape...That's going to be decisive, I think....

17. W is coming to Gainesville FL on Sunday
Why he would want to come to the middle of a Democratic stronghold like Gainesville is beyond me. Repugs usually avoid this town like the plague.

18. As a Floridian I can promise that * won't steal FL again.
Nope. Ain't Gonna Happen. Florida is Kerry's no matter what brother Jerk tries to pull. Expect a huge uproar out of Florida if something fishy puts us in the red.

the bulk of the dirty tricks seem to be happening in ohio. i feel like they're hoping that everybody will be too distracted by florida to notice.
