What was Bush "thinking" when he described the Axis of Evil as Iraq, Iran
and North Korea?? Of course, no one can know what he was "thinking" but, what reference do we have for any other "Axis of evil". Who were the "Axis" in WWII ? Was that Japan, Germany, and Italy? Was Bush trying to draw a parallel to WWII when he made those comments previous to the invasion of Iraq? Was he thinking that he was some type of FDR ready to fight a great "Axis of evil" early on? With his comments this morning comparing himself with FDR and Lincoln, one might think he was delusional about this "axis" long before the troops invaded Iraq?

1. He was thinking, "Dick told me to say this."
And Dick was thinking about the long-term goals for PNAC.

4. He thought, "I wish I had me another brain cell to keep this one company."

He wasn't thinking! They probably found out via some focus groups that these words were hot buttons with the brownshirts, so they just keep repeating nonsense to their base. Must feed the animals! :eyes:

5. I don't know but it floored me - especially Iran.
There are a lot of moderates in Iran. When Chimp imcluded Iran in his ridiculous axis, he shot any hope of helping the moderates gain control. Chimp helped the fundamentalists a lot by doing that. He is an idiot and it is an indictment of our society that somehow he became the President.

The entire neocon cabal thinks that most Americans are stupid sheep. They tried to build Bush into a comic book hero fighting the Axis of Evil from the cockpit of his jet fighter. Same BS they pulled with Reagan, claiming he singlehandedly beat the Soviet Union with nothing but a rusty bayonet. They are fascists, and expect the sheeple to rally behind their strong leader against the "forces of evil" or whatever mularkey they come up with.
