When Bushistas say "they're investigating the missing explosives" |
|
and "Bush wants to get to the bottom of this" remind them that's EXACTLY what the WH said when Valerie Plame was outed, and where's THAT investigation gone?

remind them that every time they hear of an explosion in Iraq, that we've found some of those "missing" explosives.

6. And then remind them that Bush is directly responsible |
|
for the deaths of 1100 American soldiers and thousands of "liberated" Iraqis because he made oil the priority instead of guarding known explosive dumps.

4. This is on page 1 of the "Cheap Politician's Guide" |
|
1. When you have been caught red handed, deny everything and say there is an ongoing investigation to get all the facts.

7. It's a case of faulty sentence structure. See? |
|
A lot of times, journalists will put words into a quotation in because the speaker either made a reference to someone who was not immediately obvious, or left out an obvious word, thus making the sentence hard to read. I think that's what has happened here. Allow me to do the media's job (again) and fill in the sentence properly.
"We're investigating the missing explosives. . . Bush wants to get to the bottom of this ."

8. It's more like "We're trying to figure out an excuse for this one, |
|
and in the meantime we're going to throw out a bunch of chaff speculation as a diversion and hopefully we can get away with it until Tuesday."

9. it's that way with everything - too little, too late |
|
they weren't in favor of 9/11 commission until public/political pressure
they weren't investigating Plame until public/political pressure
they weren't investigating Abu Gharib (sp?) until pictures turned up even though they knew about it months before
they didn't start "this investigation" until public/political pressure - they knew about this weeks ago and why didn't they at least begin an investigation?
I really do think they know how to investigate anything because they do nothing wrong!

10. That's right -- finding Bin Laden, finding anthrax killer, finding Plame |
|
outer, finding WMDs -- Chimp can't find his ass with both hands, as they say.
