ABC: Break-Ins, Shootings Mar Bush-Kerry Race
Some observers speculate criminal behavior surrounding the presidential campaign may be yet another sign of bitterly contested election.

Oct 28, 2004 -- Thieves smash into a political office, grab laptop computers or paper documents containing political campaign secrets, strategy or voter information - and then dash off into the night.

It may sound like a plot out of a political spy thriller - but that basic scenario has been a real-world occurrence this election season at Democratic offices in Ohio and Pennsylvania, a Republican office in Washington state, a voter registration organization in New Mexico and the home of a historian in California.

2. Seen this before
Watch the movie "All The President's Men". It's about Woodworth and Bernstein and the breaking of Watergate. This sounds EXACTLY like what happened during the Nixon administration.

9. There's a reason it sound slike the Nixon administration...
That's because the Bush administration to a great extent IS the Nixon administration, back from the dead.

Look at all the Nixon henchmen inhabiting the halls of government again.

Just watch. When the history of these years finally is written, a major theme will be about how the Bush White House was -- in a very real way -- the last gasp of the Nixon era.

11. Yeah, really! We won't truly be safe from the Nixonians...
... until every last one them has been called to heaven... or, more likely, hell.

And even then, their filthy offspring will still linger. The Nixon years may be a stain or a sickness that we can never completely eradicate.

The price of freedom is -- and will continue to be -- eternal vigilance.

7. What a load of crap
That article is crap. All of the incidents to B-C offices are politically motivated, while the ones happening to Dems somehow are not.

8. Garbage! No mention of the vandalism of Dem Hq's.
The Scottsdale Az office has been vandalised three times and the computers stolen. Cars have been trashed, and house windows broken in MY neighborhood, but the news only pushes damage to the Repukes.
