5. That's dead on. Like Cheney's line about not meeting Edwards before
So easily verified, so meaningless in the context of the debate. Why tell the lie? I guess that's where 'pathological' comes in.

10. I am surprised you don't find the credibility of the Administration
Important. I would think that it is a very important election issue. But what do I know?

11. Of course I do - this is like the teeniest example, though
And that's what the yelling heads on Crossfire choose to scream at each other about.

2. One thing I actually find hilarious about the Shrub malAdministration...
...is how they lie, even when they don't have to, even when it gains them nothing.

The whole idiocy could've been turned away if they'd just said, "Yes, we altered the crowd a little. Here's the original -- and we wanted to remove the President from the scene, just to show the people supporting him. Wish we'd done a better and less obvious job of cutting-and-pasting."

End of issue. But nooOOOooooo! (Done in best Steve Martin drawl...) They have to lie. And get caught in it. Again.

Morons.

with the internets?

He should read the paper, it's in there. Internets are instant detectives now. And there are m-i-i-i-il-ions of us. :spank:

13. YEAH. Remember the biking mishap?...
How they said the soil was loose because they'd had a lot of rain down there in Crawford?

Well, I remember that because I checked the weather for Crawford and it hadn't rained down there for at least 13 days prior to that biking mishap. They even had to lie about THAT.

Heh.

4. I sent an e-mail to Crossfire today, advising them to take Jon Stewart's
advise. And that I would no longer be watching the whining Tucker always whining himself.

7. This really does have signifigance
This is a fight. In a fight, especially one in which your opponent has announced a philosophy of "Whatever it takes," you search for any advantage and use it. Bush has an advantage in that he has the media on retainer. We have been able to divert the media from pimping the prince for a few hours when these few hours count. And did the chimperor respond intellegently, by admitting a mistake, laughing about it, and saying it is no big deal? No. Instead, his camp has remained utterly inflexible, revealing once again the underpinning of their position: "You are with us or you are wrong."

On the other issue the apologists keep raising, it is a big deal because the bad guys are off issue. They are not (1) speculating about the bad tape of the bad terrorist going to do bad things, (2) wiping tears of joy from their eyes about that wonderful patriot Mr. Shilling, or (3) talking about the "wonderful" stock market performance of the last few days, etc. etc. THEY ARE ON OUR PLAYING FIELD FOR A CHANGE, AND THEY SUCK AT IT.

14. Remember 'Wag the Dog' - Kirsten Dunst as Girl with Kitten Crossing Bridge
I think we need to spread the idea that this instance of Bush doctoring photos is a 'Wag the Dog' moment.

Wag the Dog could be a powerful association in people's minds of deception and manipulation in a campaign
