the RV model is closer to reality than the LV model. The filters that many pollsters place on their LV models don't jive with reality.

If he wins independants, he'll probably win by 2-3%. Bush won the group by one % in '00 but still lost the popular vote.

This poll, just like many others, assume that repugs will turn out to vote in greater numbers than democrats. That contradicts both history and the huge motivation democrats have to oust * this year.

Keith Olbermann showed a chart today released by some of the polling agencies that revealed how few people will respond to campaign polls right now.
It's incredible how few people will respond!! Right now, only 20% of the people who are called will answer poll questions. :wow:
The chart showed that at one time 70% would participate, then it dropped to 40%, but since daily polling began, it's dropped to a mere 20%.
They mentioned how much higher cooperation was last election. I need to catch the re-run later to see when it was that it went from 70% down to 40%..
I was pretty surprised to hear that 80% of people contacted refuse to participate.
