Are you ready to defend Kyle Orton when he runs for governor as a Dem? |
|
For those of you who don't know Kyle Orton is Purdue's Heisman Trophy candidate Quarterback. He will be a First-Round Pick next year in the NFL (likely in the Top 15). And he has been very outspoken that he wants to go into politics someday as a Democrat. Think about it? A sports star running in Indiana as a Democrat. In 15 years, he may be the guy to break the Republican stanglehold on that state.
Of course, if he leads the Broncos to a Super Bowl in 2014 and uses his postgame interview to praise President Obama, he should just shut up and die.

What do you mean by that?

5. You mentioned that he already did that. |
|
However you didn't mention any rules that forbid athletes from speaking about politics. How much more attention would you like me to pay to your posts, hm?

2. What makes you think he'll run in Indiana? |
|
He could just as easily run in the city where he plays NFL football.
I'd like to point out that a big reason Indiana is even viable for the Democrats is because of Evan Bayh, who isn't exactly Mr. Popular around here.

I don't know where he will play pro ball yet.
But he is worth watching for more than football reasons.
