Du'ers Feeling the Pressure "Depressed"

Just lurked over to DU for a spell and have noticed a general lack of optimism and a feeling of defeat. I think that as the polls being to clarify, they are sensing the political end is near for Kerry.
In addition to the overall gloom, I notice them lashing out at themselves and their parties incompetence at winning the Whitehouse. It seems that they cannot understand why some many people love the USA and hate socialism. Oh well… too bad!

I make it a point to drop in there a couple of times a week just to keep an eye on them.
I agree with you.

Post some of them for us, so that we don't need to delve into the cesspool of liberalism as well :)

"noticed a general lack of optimism and a feeling of defeat."
Wow - reality associated with DU! Who would've thunk it?

I was over there yesterday and some of them were still under the delusion that Kerry would win. We need people to go over there and try to encourage them. Show them that things aren't going as bad as it seems. It makes for much more fun after the let- down.

I sometimes go DUmpster diving at the DUmp but haven't for a while PJ Comix posts some of their more sublime idiocies and spares me the trouble of having to wade through the dreck and disinfect myself upon leaving. I may don my hazardous waste suit and lurk over there election night just to watch them in convulsions though.

The Bush Campaign is playing the old "internal polls" game

Apparently the Bush Campaign is getting desperate. Hit with a flood of bad news this week, including a bunch of disappointing tracking polls in the media, they have to do something to reassure nervous supporters. So it looks like they're shopping around their "internal polls."
Posted by Jim Geraghty at National Review Online, just this afternoon:
Just heard from a source close to the campaign, tuned in to the conversations at the highest levels.
According to the Bushies, the last few days have seen a huge burst of momentum in their numbers.
They think Bush is ahead by a few points nationally. They expect the next round of tracking polls to show a bit of a bump.
http://www.nationalreview.com/kerry/kerry200410281407.a...For what it's worth, I asked a source over at the DNC about this. The source, who just happens to also be "tuned in to the conversations at the highest levels" tells me that the Kerry campaign's polls are not showing any sort of Bush surge. In fact, they're showing precisely the opposite.

They're a bunch of idiots. They hate daschle because he's a 'sell-out'. They think the News networks are in the tank for conservatives. They are just miserable louts.

Also, they can not understand the stupidity of nominating an effete, French elitist, unAmerican, war phony, male phony, do nothing gigolo.

Well, the threads are still filled with allusions to insurgency. Here's the post where id'd that one. Looks like that page is "unavailable until election day" (whatever that means)

Au contraire (see, I can speak French just like Jean Francois Kerry). We need to get them feeling so hopeless that they don't even bother to vote. Hell, I want them feeling so depressed that they don't even get out of bed.

Heck, they'll vote anyway. They'll have to if they want their crack, etc.
