Today's Photo Comparison -- What do you notice?

Here's what I'm noticing: each day, Kerry looks more relaxed, confident, and happy; and each day, Chimp looks more red-faced, puffy, tense and robotic. Unfortunately, I haven't found a close-up of Chimp today. (We had a few good ones recently, but maybe the photographers have been warned.) ;)

8. It's real simple
bush is looking more and more like a loser all the time and Kerry looks like a winner.

Period. Put a fork in bush, he's done.

11. Would someone PLEASE tell Bush how to hold an infant?!
How can any mother be stupid enough to let her baby get into that man's hands! Looka at what he did to Jenna!

You MUST support an infant's head at that age. What a frigging idiot!

15. boosh doesn't like to touch people.
I've got a bunch of pictures in my "campaign photos" file of both Kerry and Edwards with children. There is always an engagement very obvious in their expressions -- these two adult men instinctively bond with whomever they are interacting. This goes right back to that photo of Edwards with his infant son on the floor. There's just an immediate connection.

Their smiles reach their eyes, the small muscles around the eyes that indicate complete emotional involvement. Their smiles reach beyond their facial muscles, into the neck and shoulder, indicating a lack of tension, an acceptance of their feelings without question.

boosh, on the other hand, doesn't like people. Period. He holds the baby away from him, kinda like the guy who dangled his daughter in front of the alligator or whatever it was. When he "hugged" that girl who lost her mother in the WTC attack, he was looking into the camera lens, giving it more of his attention than her. And there was that photo from the morning of the Florida debate, where he was "comforting" a woman who had been through the FL hurricane. He had his arm kind of draped around her shoulder, but his fingers were curled into his hand so he was only touching her with his knuckles, not the "soft" parts of his hand.

This is a man whose body language says, "I don't like you, I don't want you near me, I don't want you to touch me." This is a man who is afraid of people, he's afraid of caring, he's afraid of loving. That's why his use of the word "love" is so often misplaced. He is incapable of feeling it and therefore incapable of understanding it. His smile never reaches his eyes, certainly never extends to any of the rest of his body. I think he's a classic case of arrested emotional development. I think he was never loved by his parents -- eeeeiuw! -- and never learned how to love. I don't think he even really loves himself; he doesn't know how.

18. I always notice how his body language with Barney, the dog, is so weird
I once saw a photo of Cheney with his dog and even HE, the creepiest looking guy around, looked more relaxed and human with his pet than he normally looks. But Bush just acts like he is handling an object he doesn't care for. He doesn't look normal at all with that poor dog.
