Isn't Nov. 1st Deer Hunting Season Kick Off?? |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 07:50 PM by DemocracyInaction
Just wondering because the "guys" traditionally call into work and head to the woods for a couple of days to bag the deer and the bragging rights. How many stupid white men does this knock off in key battleground states???? Got Gun--Gotta go out show da' fellas' dat you are da' man before all dat deer run out. I used to tell my kids that daddy killed Bambi....glad I'm rid of him.

Most hunters vote absentee if they're at deer camp on Nov 2.

4. So you think only pukes go hunting? |
|
You think only men go hunting? Since we're making assumptions, I'll bet you live in a big city.
This is exactly the kind of elitist attitude that gives the pukes all the ammunition they need when they cry "the liberals are coming, the liberals are coming" for your guns.
Just for clarity's sake, like drunk driving accidents, the "stupid" white guy is rarely the one to die in hunting accidents.

5. Well, actually I try to get a couple deer each fall. Delicious eating. |
|
maybe that isn't a politically correct Dem position, but it isn't any more obscene than buying a package of steaks from a cow killed with a hammer.

7. You are so misinformed I don't know where to start |

Having grown up in extreme Northern New York I understand the culture of the hunter/gatherer. It isn't all about braggadocio, in many instances it fills the freezer that would otherwise be empty. Please don't generalize, it makes you seem so Republican.
My first husband's family were bigtime into hunting, while mine was not. In that way, I came to understand the years of family tradition that are involved in this gathering each year. Both my son and my daughter join their family each year for the hunt.
The people who have hunting accidents are many times those who haven't hunted their entire life, but the first time hunter who does fit your description. Open your mind, your prejudices are showing.

8. I spent the first half of yesterday at the firing range. |

I'm not a cop, I'm not military I just enjoy competing, reloading, just burning powder. Not much more than that I got from my dad, but he was a marksman in WW11. He taught me how to shoot, respect firearms. I'll be so damn glad when the NRA freepers find out they can keep their guns.I don't think any citizen has any business with a machine gun or a cannon.
