So Schilling is shilling for Bush. Big whoop. |
|
Seriously. Does anyone out there really believe that there are voters who have been sitting around agonizing over what to do, what to do, who will now go out and vote for Bush because Curt Schilling said they should?
It's Thursday before the election. We got 800,000 pounds of missing explosives, a potential FBI investigation of Halliburton, the Bush campaign caught with their Photoshop down, and you all are worried that Curt Schilling is going to win it for them?
So he thinks Bush should be president for another four years. He's tragically, tragically wrong about that, but so are a lot of people. It's disappointing that a guy who can pitch like that with only one operative foot also has allowed the ideological section of his brain to turn into pudding, but you can't have everything. Anyway, the nickname for the team this year, apparently, is "the idiots." An idiot endorsing Bush is not news.
We got bigger problems. Give the guy a break. After what he's been through I'll be amazed if he's working next season. If he wants to stump for Bush I say let him, but I hope they're gonna get him one of those little sedan chairs to carry him around in, because he's gotta be in some serious pain.
C ya,

1. Exactly. Those people watching him are still going to have economical |
|
problems, still worry about health insurance, still be fighting for their right to choose, still be fighting for their right to live with whomever they wish, still be paying ridiculous prices for gas, still watching their children struggle or not benefit from the public school system, still wonder why so many of our young men and women are dead...with no Freedom for Iraq to show for it...I could go on. :hi:

5. And Schilling endorses no health insurance, no choice.... |
|
no gay unions, high gas prices, vouchers for private school and supports the war in Iraq. So it's a big deal to me.

6. Not for me. One, I hate baseball...as do a lot of other people I know |
|
so they have no damned idea who this guy is. I never heard of him before you people incessantly brought him up. Two, it's a free country, he said his piece...and it's not going to change anything. Why are we spending so much time on a person who matters so little to so many?

2. 'Give the guy a break.' |
|
No.
I am fighting for the future of our country. I believe deeply that this election is about that and anyone who is a friend of Bush is not a hero of mine. That's just how it is for me.
