Just a few minutes ago on C-SPAN. They were discussing current political books and a hack managing editor from the National Review, Jay Nordlinger, said Republicans watch FOX while liberals naturally prefer CNN.

James Wolcott, contributing editor of Vanity Fair, immediately pounced. "Believe me, liberals do not think CNN is their network, particularly this year." Unfortunately, there was no followup. Incredible that CNN is still stereotyped as liberal leaning by ANYONE.

it never used to be, but then it changed hands and cleaned up a little. But it's still pretty bad. And during the Iraq War, they whored themselves so much at certain times that they gave Faux a run for their money. I still haven't forgiven them for that, and truth to be told, I still won't forgive any media outlet for that until they admit what they did and ask for it.

at least Fauz has some business sense- the current management has done nothing except run CNN into the ground- losing viewership and credibility in the process. In fact, in a class of mine last week- a student trying to make a point raised a "report" she heard on CNN and half the class laughed at her! True story!

Kind of sad- it's a hard way to learn, but my guess is that she won't be citing CNN much anymore.

I used to think that CNN was liberal until election 2004, and if I'd been reading what I should have been reading, my eyes would have been opened long before. That the news is liberally biased is spin put out by RWers, to make the media loathe to report with a liberal stance, or get the Rather accusation, or to make viewers really think that they are hearing the liberal viewpoint, when it's not.

They are in shock over losing ground to FOX in the cable news ratings wars, that they've convinced themselves they need to chase that audience.

Is Anderson Cooper. I think he does a pretty good job of giving both sides a voice. Paula Zahn on the other hand...

My news network is now the internet. If I want to know what's going on, I have to dig and slog my way through shit to get any real political news. It sucks.
