I need your help. Actually, Doug Dodd needs your help. You may have seen in various national publications that Doug is in the fight of his life for the First District Congressional Seat in Tulsa. THIS IS A VERY WINNABLE RACE - IT'S A STATISTICAL DEAD-HEAT. Doug is getting great word of mouth, both locally and nationally - he was in "Roll Call" yesterday, and on DailyKostoday. (Kos calls Doug's newest ad "the best piece of political literature of any race this cycle.")

There's one major problem: Doug can't get the attention of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. The DCCC sent a bit of money a while back, but Doug needs large amounts of cold, hard, cash today or tomorrow to stay up on television. The DCCC could do that!

Will you email the DCCC through their online form (click here for the form, and select "fundraising" as the topic) and encourage them to help Doug? Tell them that you believe the race is winnable, remind them that we have one of the cheapest media markets in the country, and remind them that Republican John Sullivan is melting down in the media (negative articles in the Tulsa World and on Roll Call, among others).

Once you've done that, would you let me know by emailing me so that I can keep a count of how many people are doing it?
