SOme of the whores seem to be having pangs of remorse
tweety and aaron brown and a couple others are now trying to undo 4 years of covering up for smirk's lies and incompetence. It's a little late, boys, since we have 9000 casualties in iraq and all the other problems you let junior wreak on the earth. you're going to have a seat right next to * in hell

1. I never considered Aaron Brown a whore, I will defend him
He uses Walter Cronkite as his model. He covers real news, he has a broad variety of guests and experts on his show. He asks tough questions and follows up on them. He doesn't talk over people and he gives them time to make their points. Aaron strives to be objective which in his case often means becoming the devils advocate for a position opposing the one being pushed, and he does that with all sides.

6. No he's not. I trust Aaron Brown. It's his bosses that I don't trust. (nt)

8. Exactly. And that's the point we all miss.
Aaron Brown only has so much latitude on CNN. Look at the rest of the "news" shows on that network. It's obvious that their reporting must fall within certain editorial guidelines. I think Aaron, more than any of the other network anchors, at lies tries to bring some journalistic integrity to his show, while still towing the AOL/Time-Warner line.

10. Actually, I have a little respect for Lou Dobbs.
And I suspect that despite his party affiliation, he will vote Kerry. "Crossfire" is a joke, but it's often good for a few laughs.

4. Matthews had an op ed out before the invasion saying that it was
a very bad idea. Granted, he has propped them up, but he also staked a position early. He's waffled ever since.

5. Aaron Brown hasn't been that bad.
Mathews has been much worse. Brown stood up for the 9/11 commision one night and started a shitstorm. He is limited because the people around him suck.

7. I remember the rant about 9/11 commission.
Yes, he has his days. That was awesome. I just see him as inconsistent, and not always digging deep enough.

Well put. I go back with Aaron to the overnight ABC days. I want to like him so much but he seems to turn on a dime.

9. I don't think it's remorse ,
I think that the race is close enough that they are hedging their bets . I always have thought of Howard Fineman as the canary in the mineshaft . If Howard is remotely even handed , you know that the national media thinks that Kerry has a good chance at winning .

11. You know who is pretty damn funny and smewhat fair
is Craig Crawford from congressionial quarterly. He actully called it for Kerry about a week ago. I some him on some show a couple of weeks ago after the 1st debate and he said in a nutshell that Bush and that Kerry showed the world that he is not what the Bush people have tried to make him out to be. Someone got pissed at him and they went a few rounds and never backed off.
