Freepers ponder a Kerry win and a shift in military leadership. . .
Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 09:54 PM by feistydem
On the question of What if it becomes Kerry's war?

(http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1260826/posts)

This Freeper sounds enthusiastic about the idea of a Kerry win: :crazy:

"If Kerry wins, there is no War on Terrorism. Bring our boys home (but only IF sKerry wins)!"

An escape plan?::silly:

"I can't believe people are actually talking about FAILING in Iraq. We are winning and once we get the elected gov't in place and secured, then we will have WON and can leave (for the most part)."

Pure craziness here. If Kerry wins, the Bushies could be on trial for war crimes::tinfoilhat:

"If Kerry wins, the nation will look back on the role of newspapers like the Washington Post in bringing him to power and they will be publically tried and hanged for treason."

Reality check. Military is losing re-enlists because of BUSH you idiot!::cry:

"If Kerry wins, coming soon to your neighborhood suicide bombings. Youngsters be ready for the draft because that will be the only way that Kerry will have any kind of military since most of those that serve now will not re-enlist. So all of you youngsters that don't want to be drafted, think about it. Remember, Democrats have drafted before and they will do it again.....Be prepared for more civilians to die here. Remember the only time democrats have shown any force with no complaints nor protest has been against our own citizens, WACO."

Obligated to remain ignorant::freak:

"If, (God forbid) it becomes sKerry's war, we are obligated to say the same things about him, that he has been saying about our current President."

All I can 'say' is "wow."
:wow:

fixed my typos on edit.

3. Don't laugh
Iraq is a terrible legacy for Kerry - he'll have little room to manuever and could get really screwed (like LBJ did, when Vietnam killed his Presidency)

6. Undoubtedly. But I put a helluva lot more faith in his ability to succeed
and get UN assistance on the ground.

He needs a Dem Congress to make it work.

8. Bush Sr leaves Somalia ...
... Bush Jr leaves Iraq!!!

Like Clinton, Kerry will be blamed for the inevitable failure instigated by their predecessor!!!!

9. Nixon wasn't hurt by his Vietnam pullout !!!!

Nixon was smart. He simply "cut and run" and lied about it. Vietnamization is a joke as is "Iraqization".

Any history majors out their want to explain how George 3 explained losing the colonies ????

5. They know they've lost....
They really have nothing to do until Bush is out and Kerry is inaugurated, so instead of praising Shrub, they're going to speculate about the things they'll complain about during Kerry's EIGHT YEARS AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

I cannot wait until the Kerry win is announced... the smell of freshly popped Freeper minds is invigorating.

7. I can't believe that they're pulling out of Vietnam ...
... after all, we're WINNING!!! Just look at the casualty numbers. How could the Vietnamese POSSIBLY maintain their force level. They're bound to collapse ANY day now!!!!

</sarcasm>

Iraqi civil war is inevitable. The only question is how many of our troops get killed before it happens now!!! The factions will shoot at us until we leave. Then they'll commence shooting at each other!!!

The big question is will Iran, Turkey and Syria try to divide it up!?!?!?!?!?!

10. If Kerry wins it is because God picked him over Bush!
Won't that means that God hates Bush in the strange world of right wing fanatics? :)
