Former Senator Bob Smith (R-Insane) of NH is voting for Kerry
Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 10:42 PM by WilliamPitt
...in Florida, no less.

Just got this wee tidbit from the Kerry campaign:

NEW HAMPSHIRE NUGGET: Former Senator Bob Smith, formerly of New Hampshire now of Florida, is throwing his support behind John Kerry. In a letter to Senator Kerry, Senator Smith wrote: "I want you to know that when I go into the booth next Tuesday I am going to cast my vote for you. So will my wife, Mary Jo, and all three of my children: Jason, Bobby, and Jenny."

4. Wow! Hey, I'll take any nutjob vote we can get.
I may even forgive Bob for his championing of the looney Elian relatives in Miami. Maybe not.

8. This can make a difference for Kerry in NH, Heck, 5 votes...
...might be enough to swing Florida too. Another sign of Republicans splitting over their very own wedge issues.

12. Holbrooke is the right choice
Biden will screw it up - I know his Kool Aid tastes good - but he's not the one for the job.

22. Supposedly, Holbrooke doesn't want it, but, I'll bet...
Wes Clark would take on the challenge.

23. Everything I've heard is that Holbrooke wants it
Perhaps he's changed his goals since it appears that Biden will get it.

To many people just can't get off the Biden Kool Aid - he's not the right choice.

He's selling real estate with his wife apparently now and is out of NH.

19. Bob should have gotten some kind of award for
having, bar none, the worst Senate comb-over! This is a major achievement as that august body is known far and wide for its creative plastering of stray wisps of hair to bad pates. Alas, he is no longer eligible. There are, however, plenty of others vying for the honor.

15. it can not be lost on us that this is another sign of how radical bush is
for a fella' as conservative as smith to come out and essentially say "i may be crazy but i'm not stupid, i'm voting for kerry" is big.
