CBS Up to the Minute just said that the ABC video of the explosives is not |
|
available to them. Why wouldn't ABC be letting CBS have the video?

3. But CNN and MSNBC showed it. I really hope ABC let's CBS and NBC have it. |

I want that video shown constantly. Hearing the story is one thing, seeing all those explosives yourself is much better.

8. CNN and MSNBC are not "true" competitors |
|
ABC News is primarily up against CBS, NBC, and Fox; they merely need to beat them in the ratings from 6 to 7pm. Allowing the cable news networks (none of whom get the ratings of the free networks) wouldn't cause much of a dent in ABC's ratings.

2. Because ABC may be planning to run a special show on the issue. |
|
So it wouldn't make sense to let a competitor have the footage.
Now, if ABC *doesn't* run a separate show, they should have their nuts cut off.

This is going to be their cash cow for the next week or so on the news, so sharing is not on their agenda. In the end, though, this is short-sighted and will deprive our information-starved populace of some great investigative journalism. Gotta protest. E-mail the hell out of ABC until they give in.

and commended KSTP (my local news station)--and told them this video was of vital national (make that international) importance. Perhaps they will release it if we all make a special plea!

5. interesting -- listening to Mike Webb -- one of the reporters |
|
who was embedded with the troops and took the ABC video of the now missing explosives -- is now working on a local station in the Seattle Market (NBC).
It would seem that this NBC reporter might be an interesting source for Mike Webb -- or at least NBC KING TV has an inside source.
Will the News media run with this story and remember that they are supposed to be journalists -- or will the corporate media remain Whores?

and tell them that they should let other stations play it so that people who don't totally love ABC like us can still see the video.
