Want to guess which signs "Today" showed being stolen in their story? |
|
In a report about the rising passion of the campaign they featured home videos of signs being stolen out of yards. One guy wired his up to shock anyone who touched it.
Every single sign they show being stolen and destroyed was..........a Bush/Cheney sign.
Uh-huh.

1. Guarantee you that the story was started by an R flack... |
|
These stories do not materialize out of nowhere. Ninety percent of the stories in the media are initiated by flacks for corporations or politicians. And to make sure that the "journalists" run with it, the flacks conveniently supply the people and places which support their story. I speak from experience because I have been on both sides of the fence and know exactly how the game is played.
P.S.--throw in a great lunch or a bowl of shrimp at the press party and you.re golden!

2. Ooh, that dirty liberal media! |
|
It was probably the same Bush/Cheney sign, video taped from different angles, to look like multiple thefts, LOL.

3. We know they're ripping their own down... |

this is on the first page of Rove's playbook. Any journalist with half a brain and 10 minutes to search the internet would know that this is a classic Rove ploy. That's the real story.

3 nights in a row the ABC affiliate out of Raleight has had a story about stolen and vandalized signs, and each time it's been predominately about the damage done to B/C signs, with barely a mention at the end of the piece that some K/E signs have been stolen too.

We had 3 Kerry-Edwards signs stolen the day after we put them out. (and we had bought them!) It is almost impossible to get new ones. We just wear the buttons. I even brought some buttons to friends in PA, who gladly wear them. Every where we went in PA, people were commenting (favorably) about the buttons. The common phrase we heard was "4 years are enough."

7. Yeah the local Kerry HQ (Richmond) is advising they be taken in at night |
|
Lots of pictures of signs defaced with W spray painted on them and one guy with a sign that says "You can steal my sign but not my vote".

6. Maybe after all these years of being dumped on, Democrats are just |
|
plain tougher. If someone steals their sign, they just get another one.

8. During my visit to Fl. the only stories covered on missing signs |
|
were B/C "thefts".
Interesting too that the video shots of "angry" supporters were K/E people.
