Do I remember correctly that it is against federal law to have Service people in uniform appear at campaign rallies or advertisements?
If so, wouldn't the real issue of the doctored ad video be that * was removed so they wouldn't be shown breaking the law (again!)? ...or at least ordering the soldiers who are pictured to break the law and their service contracts, as well.
As per "the Navy Times", <
http://www.navytimes.com/story.php?f=1-292925-355211.php>,
... "Active-duty members cannot:
n Use their official authority to interfere in an election; solicit votes for a particular candidate; or require or solicit political contributions from others.
<snip>
n Participate in political campaigns or conventions, unless attending a convention as a spectator when not in uniform."
<lots more>
I like how the RNC has admitted that the video was doctored by 'removing the image of the podium' They make absolutely no mention of the fact that the Chimp in chief was standing at it, exhorting the faithful.
One more point... would the unfortunate soldiers, who were cloned, be breaking the law four or five times each?
