19. I'm LOVING this! (beware--freeper quotes inside)

--------------------------------
I am by now a nervous wreck...

--------------------------------
46% - 46%...

Do some of you STILL think Bush was right by waiting so long to respond?
--------------------------------

CRAP - i had a feeling that the bad guys were getting tracion with the explosive stories ... i am getting that wobbly feeling. Rove&Co better hit back now
--------------------------------

This makes me nervous. i will look at the numbers.. but losing a 6 point lead is not good.

The question becomes about the poll is sKerry gaining ground past 46-47% (statistical noise) or is it Bush dropping.

--------------------------------
That wasn't the problem, the problem is we should have minimized the story and just said there are alot of possibilies instead of falling right into the MSM's trap by going after it hard.
--------------------------------

This is bad, real bad. What happened to the "Bush will pull away this week" theory? MSM may pull out another one for the side of Evil.

--------------------------------
This election is going to be razor close. I think those claiming an easy Bush win (even I was starting to lean that way) were mistaken.

--------------------------------
Looks like their media machine is working very well. I sometimes get the feeling it wouldn't matter how we responded. When you consider everything they have tried to do to Bush it's a wonder he is staying even.

--------------------------------
Well, the other day Dickie Morris said President Bush would win the thing--I knew that was a bad sign right there (sort of kidding). Anyway, we're not dead yet. He's still got a chance and you can't always go by the polls.
--------------------------------

24. Some Freeper Said Trust Gallup, Time and Battleground
In 2000 Battleground had Bush up by five, Time had Bush up by six, and Gallup up by two in their final pre election poll..

In fact Battleground was the worst...

Yeah, freak, believe them...

10. this poll cant be any good
it has nader at 5, 7 and 6. no way. he couldnt pull that in 2000, he is off a lot of state ballots, he doesnt have the green party support. nader is going to be lucky to get 1-2% i think.

26. Well you know the way it goes
Edited on Fri Oct-29-04 11:22 AM by Nicholas_J
An incumbent president always ends up finishing lower than the results of the last poll taken before the vote, and the opposition always ends up finishing higher than the results of the last poll taken before the voting starts. If this trend continues, or if Bush cannot break through 50 percent in the polls by monday night, his winning will be almost impossible, or if he wins, signinficant cheating will have to have occured. I have just recieved email from an attorney friend of mine in Broward County working for the Kerry campaign who says that the situation in Broward COunty has reached near riot conditions with Democrats attacking like crazy and Republicans trying to cheat like crazy.

They are nuts about the missing absentee ballots, though lost of people simply got up and went out to vote, but the voters list was not purged, so the Republicans are going to be crying foul about everything, trying to contest every vote because of the typical bureaucratic screwups that occur in a government agency. I worked for Broward for well over 13 years and most of the departments could screw up a cup of coffee. really due to the effects of Reaganomics, because in the 1980's a bunch of Republicans were swept into office of County Commissioners, and they made these massive cuts in everything,no layoffs, but gradually phasing out jobs as people quit or retired. For example, for almost 500 county buildings, there were only two people to repair air conditioners. Two plumbers. WHen anything broke it took weeks to get a repair order filled. The mail room is no different. But they had similar scandals before and I beleive during the last election, several missing ballot boxes were found in the trunk of the car of one of the workers months after the election was finalized. It would be difficult to separate out absentee ballots by party affiliation, but in a county like Browarde where there are twice as many Democrats as Republicans, the odds might favor Republicans to do this. Then agaoin, much of the time absenteee ballots are going to more affluent people, so this could effect Republicans more heavily. Anyway, I have had to deal with the Broward COunty mail room for 14 years, and I know that they lose a lot of stuff, but this is too obvious. If it is anywhere, I would start checking the landfills.

Besides, now Zogby has Kerry and Bush running even as well.
