23. someone needs to tell the Iraqis
who are blowing up the American troops with those explosives to stop it, our troops already destroyed them. Gosh, I wonder if this might explain why the US forces have opted not to go into certain cities in Iraq?

The Commander in Thief could have said that at the very beginning and this would never have mushroomed.

10. He was from the 103rd, claims he and his unit removed 200 tons on APRIL 13
so it doesn't matter, it does not refute what was there on April 18. They can try and say what was left was not the HMX, RDX, but there is video of the seals.

David Kay on Aaron Brown last night basically said that he could think of nothing else it could be besides HMX & RDX.

Or perhaps they turned into gaseous vapors and slipped underneath the door?

11. It took an officer to report this?
I takes an officer to report this?

You'd think that in the last 3 days, the administration would have been going over every single incident of explosives being removed from there. Apparently they don't keep very good records regarding ammo bunkers.

14. So, just this guy remembers doing that?
They don't have any, I don't know, RECORDS or anything? It takes this long for just some guy to show up and say this. Right.

Funny how the Pentagon would make a soldier available to the press, just to save *'s ass. No politics here.

16. ok so they were tasked to remove 200 tons
and then what?
they left tbe rest, 150-180 tons, unguarded?
and nobody knew about this until it was politically necessary for bushco?

smells rotten.

if they were tasked to be in charge of the explosives dump they wouldnt be carting it away they would have been guarding all of it.

carting it away where? for what purpose? oh come on are we stupid?

27. Good point about guarding it.
This stuff has some value, after all. Why would they destroy it rather than sell it, use it, give it to Halliburton, etc.?

18. They should have satelite photos
of either the US or the looters taking this shit out. It would have required 40 fully loaded tractor trailers (10 ton per truck) to get this amount out. If they claim to have gotten it out in one day, it was a major opperation that must have included hundreds of people.

21. The "administration" would have jumped all over this
back in April as proof of WMD ... I mean, the HMX and such can be used in nuclear weapons production. If they were so desperate for proof that they would cite "mobile weapons labs" which quickly turned out to be BS, they would have much rather used an actual stockpile as proof, even if it is not technically WMDs in this case. This would have been a lot easier for them to stretch and spin. So either they knew they screwed up and wanted to let sleeping dogs lie until after V-Day, or they didn't know and/or didn't care. Considering they got data from the IAEA and had troops on the ground, you'd think they'd have planned on securing these explosives. But then, that would require sanity, which is a scarce commodity these days.

33. Exactly
They told us all about the piece of junk buried under the rose bushes in the scientist's back yard, and every time they came across some vials of powder or empty drums we heard all about it.

If our guys had really found this stuff and moved it anywhere we would have heard about it for days and days. FOX News would have done a two hour special on the discovery, with diagrams and graphics and experts out the a** explaining how RDX could be used to ignite a nuclear weapon.

this ONLY raises more questions...which they can't answer.

That's the thing about lies: a lie cannot perfectly reconstruct reality, and there's always something missing.

This sounds sloppier than if they had just overlooked it. This way they knew it was there and just walked away. Watch them now try to blame the troops again.
