Speculation ... WHITE POWDER ..

I remember days after the war that we had lots of "false alerts" on finding the WMD. I specifically remember reports of "white powder" being found. At the time, I felt that it could have been talc or WHATEVER.

But now we know that the raw RMX (or RDX) is nothing more barrels of white powder. Could the shots we saw be one of the sources for the "false alarms". In such a case, wouldn't chemical/biological guys be sent in??? If not, would this indicate that the Bush administration KNEW that Saddam had no weapons????

2. Last I understood
talcum powder did not require a label of 1.1. explosive and so dangerous it had to be secured by an IAEA seal.

3. It was declared by Saddam
this was never anything "discovered. All this stuff was declared by Saddam on paper to the IAEA. (interesting fact when you consider that he was apparently complying with everything that the Coalition of the Willing was demanding.)

The IAEA gave all this information to the US. THe US plan should have included doing something with this stuff. There should have been a terget to get this stuff and do something with it. That's call war planning.

The fact that they couldn't produce an accountment is the checkmate on this game.

6. Of course. It was well known that they couldn't have possibly
had any stockpiles of so called WMD. However, all of the pretexts for invasion were built around WMD. Thus the endless drone and lies and pronouncements in order to build a "legal" case. All of this was a bullshit redneck James Baker style circular reasoning you can't win the argument setup.
