Current outlook for election day weather
Based on map on the weather channel web site:

Scattered showers & thunderstorms from New Orleans through Florida (i.e., normal weather);

Scattered thunderstorms from Atlanta through New York City;

Lighter, steadier rain from Oklahoma City, N. Texas, Arkansas and Tennessee;

Light rain from Detroit to Boston (Most of Mich looking ok);

Light rain in Pacific northwest; and

Pretty fine elsewhere, especially in the midwest.
