20. He's cried wolf one too many times already.
His entire campaign is based on the "You're safer with me" theme. Dragging out OBL will remind the skeered 'Muricans that after 3+ years of chimpy smokin' him out of his hole, OBL has yet to be captured. If the media doesn't point this out, the Kerry camp most certainly will. Kerry will use it as another reason to change horses.

And why haven't we found the man that murdered over 3,000 Americans?

35. Indeed, Mr. Reynolds
It will be a useful reminder to the people of the greatest failure of this administration; a reminder that tough cowboy talk is nowhere near enough to actually do the hard work of tracking and killing the enemy leader; a reminder of the wretched posuer's comments that he was not really worried about Bin Laden; a reminder that someone this criminal crew says they are after really can run and hide....

"LET'S GO GET THOSE BUSH BASTARDS!"

just reminds people that Osama bin Laden is still out there, alive and uncaptured, three years after 9/11.

it just reminds people that OBL got away and we are at war for no good reason.

Four more days for them to pop out bin Laden, I don't think it will happen.

5. You didn't think he'd stay quiet if he was still alive, did you?
Though I wonder which way this is going to be spun. Obviously, if he mentions the election, whichever candidate he hates will say he is telling the truth, and whichever candidate he says he prefers will say it's reverse psychology.

But bin Laden is highly intelligent. He might know better than to say so in a public address.

17. They're not going to announce an ACTUAL attack
They didn't announce 9-11, they just attacked.

Here's how it goes:

If they announce it, it ain't gonna happen.
Unfortunately, that means, we won't know it until it does happen.

Edited on Fri Oct-29-04 02:15 PM by prodigal_green

It said the tape, to be aired at 2000 GMT (4 p.m. ET), would discuss the reasons behind the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States and their repercussions. It gave no further details.

I wonder if he'll say it is because he "hates our freedom?"

Edited on Fri Oct-29-04 02:37 PM by Oreo
OBL wants Bush to win. I'm sure he never imagined the number of recruits he would get before 9/11. Why would he do anything to make Bush look bad?

I see him saying something like:
America needs to vote the current criminal president out of office
Thousands and thousands of muslims have died at the hands of Bush.

You know... general stuff to play to freeptards. This guy is smart... all he has to do is think like an idiot and he'll play the righties just like the administration has. They'll say "Why would anybody do what OBL wants... we need Kerry to lose to show OBL"

39. We'll have to wait for the content, but if the preview is
correct that basically he is going to taunt us about 9/11 then I think that clearly plays into Kerry's meme that Bush hasn't finished the job.

Naturally, your spin may vary.

41. All we need to do
is repeat Shrub's very own words...

"So I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him, Kelly, to be honest with you. I'm more worried about making sure that our soldiers are well-supplied; that the strategy is clear; that the coalition is strong; that when we find enemy bunched up like we did in Shahikot Mountains, that the military has all the support it needs to go in and do the job, which they did."
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1244536/posts

"We haven't heard much from him. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don't know where he is," Bush said during the 2002 news conference. "I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him. I know he is on the run."
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/latimests/20041014/ts_latimes/bushnotconcernedaboutbinladenin02

"A fellow came the other day to the office and said, 'Well, are you worried about Mr. bin Laden?' I said, 'No, I'm not too worried about him. He's the guy that needs to be worried.' But I want to assure you, the objective is not bin Laden. Oh, we'll get bin Laden. There's only so many caves he can hide in, if he's still hiding in caves. My attitude was, once we get him running, it's just a matter of time before we bring him to justice."

"As I say, we haven't heard much from him. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don't know where he is. I -- I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him. I know he is on the run. I was concerned about him, when he had taken over a country. I was concerned about the fact that he was basically running Afghanistan and calling the shots for the Taliban. But once we set out the policy and started executing the plan, he became -- we shoved him out more and more on the margins. He has no place to train his al Qaeda killers anymore."
