I just stood for 2 hours in line to vote in Colorado Springs... |
|
First, the wind had blown down a telephone pole across the street and it almost blew me down into broken glass - taking a short-cut thru the back entrance. I almost literally had to crawl thru broken glass to vote. :)
When I entered the front of the building, the line stretched down two flights of stairs and another 75-100 feet to outside. Outside, it wrapped around the corner for another 75-100 feet.
My analysis of the crowd was that perhaps 10-15% were younger voters and the rest may have been split evenly Democratic or Republican, it is difficult to say. However, with a larger turnout, this may be the best year for Democrats in El Paso County, CO in a long time.

I have voted in the same place for the past 11 years.
I have yet to see another voter at my polling place, while I'm there to vote. I usually go early (7:00-7:30 am). Sometimes I feel as though this polling place has been set up just for me.
