OBL: Bush bad. Kerry good.

I'm sure this will be spun all weekend.

1. It SHOULD be bad politically for Bush, actually...
convenient timing....I guess Bush thinks this will get him out of a tough jam...

but logically, if its Osama, well, if he makes a threat, it shows america is not safer under Bush.
If he's alive at all, it means Bush gave up on the search for him, and was incapable of stopping him.
If he threatens on election day, he's helping bush to suppress turnout, so that makes him a partner in Bush's campaign.

3. The possible flaw in your theory.
People don't like being told what to do or think and they could definitely think "He thinks he can tell me who to vote for? I'll show him."

I'm not saying this is what people WILL do, but I am saying this is a possibility.

2. Well, at the moment it's a surprise to me
This is the first contextual speech given on good video. Maybe he still IS alive after all.

That would be the main news of the day, finally.

However, suddenly I can't get AlJazeera(server overload?) and there is more spin than convincing translations of the video. They seem to having trouble with the "nuanced" aspects.

4. I'm surprised that they didn't have Bush at the end
saying, "I'm George Bush and I approved this ad".
