This is bad for Bush. He stopped paying attention to bin Laden, he said he wasn't important. Do NOT let the GOP get the upper hand because this just may be the spin war that decides the election.

Their spin is going to be this: Bin Laden wants Kerry as President. He is trying to scare the people away from voting for Bush.

That is going to be their message and they are going to pound it relentlessly unless we pound back with our own message. They are in full desperation mode now and they will do everything in their power to equate Kerry and Bin Laden. Do NOT LET UP!

If we do not get on this immediately we'll be hearing "Bin Laden endorses Kerry" stories from now until Tuesday. We CANNOT afford to let that happen!

Kerry needs to respond before Bush does. It needs to be a serious, historic speech which will assure Americans that he WILL catch this guy, and not divert troops to a fake threat to America.

6. It would be inconceivable

if the kerry camp wasnt already on top of this and will spin it pretty forcefully. It is hard to make OBL on our TV's a good thing for Bush. It does tend to remind everyone that he got away.
