Fox news just stated: Osama wants BUSH!
Edited on Fri Oct-29-04 04:13 PM by mzmolly
Their reasoning was that Bush is a polarizing figure and it keeps up his recruiting numbers.

They stated that "Osamas no dummy" and clearly he is trying to influence the election.

I can't believe they admitted that Osama wants Bush in office?

This isn't going to hurt Kerry folks, it's just one more reminder that BUSH TRADED OSAMA FOR SADDAM!

Edited to add, I think it was Neil Cavuto who said it.

:hi:

12. Yes they did. They tried to spin it by saying that ...
because of Bush's "strong war on terror" :eyes: he was fueling the flames of terrorism etc... but it came off as bad for Bush IMHO.

Neil Cavuto is the pundit who said it I believe.

22. Yes, I heard it myself
Nearly fell off the couch! They did phrase it something like, "So, crazy as it seems, bin Laden is for Bush. He's really saying something like, 'Go, Bush, go!' That's what he's saying!"

I nearly choked! I also just couldn't believe the slam about Bush being more interested in reading about a pet goat with a little girl than in protecting Americans! I hate bin Laden, but DAMN!!!!! That was some slam!!

That smackdown from OBL about the pet goat was amazing.
I was in a stupor until he said that. I hadn't even known about the tape and had just turned on the TV. There he was. Then I hear the crack about the pet goat keeping Bush too busy to protect the American people. That finally woke me up!

They tried to spin it in a positive light stating that it was because Bush has a strong war on terror etc... but they said Bush was a polarizing figure in the mid-east and thus helped Osama with his cause. They used the words Osama want's Bush.

Unbelievable, I'm certain they'll "clarify" soon. ;)

33. I think it was Cavuto. Not certain. Too in shock.
I didn't even know about the tape! I was out for a while. Came back home, turned on the tube, saw bin Laden's face and froze. Then I started surfing quickly. Faux, believe it or not, was giving the most coherent account of it, so I listened. I was so in shock about EVERYTHING that I haven't really processed it, yet. I got the strong feeling Cavuto was the same way and his quote of "Go, Bush, go!" as being bin Laden's endorsement of Bush's candidacy was spontaneous. I'm sure he regrets it, now! LOL!

Bush has been OBL's best friend these past three years. He has given OBL the destruction of Sadaam, the curtailing of freedoms in the US, the increased distrust of America around the world, and the best recruitment tool for OBL he has ever had.

You're damn right he wants Bush! That is why America wants Kerry!

17. That Is Right, Ma'am
All this does is re-emphasize the failures of the criminals of the '00 Coup in prosecuting the war against the Islamic fundamentalist radicals who atacked our country. It gives new edge and further sustains the line that the criminals missed a golden opportunity to catch this wretch by "outsourcing" the job at Tora Bora, and to the colossal distraction from this vital effort the invasion of Iraq reoresents. It drives home to the people that for all the bluster of the Andover cheerleader, all his "Dead or alive" and "We'll smoke 'em out" and his "You can run but you can't hide" posturings, the fact is that Bin Ladin has indeed evaded the might of the United States, as this has been directed by this criminally incompetent administration, and is still in operation and doing quite well for himself. It is an excellent and sovereign reminder of the failures of this administration in what most people consider a vital matter, and gives the lie entirely to the Andover cheerleader's pretense that he is up to the job of protecting the nation. For that, better to turn to someone who has actually closed with an armed enemy, and shot him dead....

"If you repeat a lie often enough, you are a Republican."

"LET'S GO GET THOSE BUSH BASTARDS!"

30. Brilliant
Please send your comments to the Kerry Camp. All Kerry has to say is, "the President told Osama that you can't run and you can't hide, and that he'd be caught dead or alive, and would smoke him out,...... but then the President changed his tune and said he's not really concerned about osama. Well. I am and there will be no more osama videos and osam threats after I become President." Game over.

Threating the American people is going to hurt Kerry. This tape just reinforces the case against Bush. It starkly points out Bush's failure to capture or kill Bin laden. If the Bushies are wanting this to be a silver bullett against Kerry, it will backfire.

31. Well I'll say this
The very fact that OBL is alive and well and still making threats against the U.S.A. when Bush let him get away in Tora Bora then impulsively decided to wage a costly war on another country that had NOTHING to do with 911 can only hurt Bush.

This is particularly so since Bush himself went on record as saying "he is not that all concerned" about capturing/killing OBL as he was reaving up his war machine to invade Iraq.

54. It was definitely weird
He sounded like a guest lecturer in college. He was poised and relaxed. Knew his facts. Talked reasonably (for him) and pointed out the obvious: Bush had his chances before and after 9/11 and blew them out of laziness and complacency. Compared his admin. to corrupt Arab regimes! Says our safety doesn't depend on Bush or Kerry, but on our policies. Does say that Bush is good for his (OBL's) business! Dismisses the "OBL hates us for our freedom" nonsense for what it is -- nonsense.

Wait until you see it. I'm.... I don't know what I am. Floored doesn't cover it.

56. It was freaky
He was so calm, you could be persuaded, for a moment or two, to believe he was reasonable. No way that can be true, but....Look, here's part of the transcript:

"Your security is not in the hands of Kerry or Bush or Al Qaida. Your security is in your own hands. Any nation that does not attack us will not be attacked. The event that affected me most personally was in 1982, when America gave permission for Israel to invade Lebanon. That built a strong desire in me to punish the guilty. It never occurred to us that he, the commander in chief of the country, would leave 50,000 citizens in the two towers to face those horrors alone, because he thought listening to a child discussing her goats was more important."
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/29/international/29WIRE-TRANS.html?oref=login&oref=login

It was a calm man, not ranting, not raving, not screaming for vengeance or divine intervention. It was unnerving. He isn't what I had pictured. He's still evil, yes, no doubt, but he isn't the laughing madman I had pictured.

Does this make ANY sense? Lol! I'm trying to pull all of this together and it's really boggled my mind.
