Folks, Bush's Deal Is Falling Apart Before Our Eyes...

I was flipping through the channels and Headline News had Bush's rally- he looked like a spooked monkey, his confetti prematurely ejaculated, his sports celebrity shill didn't show up, and a bunch of people got into his rally and held up a big sign saying "380 Tons"-- only to get escorted out of the place by cops, with one guy in a suit yelling into the camera as he got hauled off: "I'm A Republican and I'm Voting For John Kerryyyyyy!!!"

They'll pull out all the stops- mystery tapes, OBL, whatever... Watch for the terror alert to go straight past maroon and on into deep hysterical.. Doesn't change a central fact:

They're in deep shit, my friends.

7. No OBL connection. The angle is" American troops in battle...
... can't change c-in-c," that sort of mind-game. Bush using troops as political pawns to win a few votes.

14. Yeah, but on a day when Osama's in the headlines
an attack on Falluja would backfire big time.

16. I think you answered your own question in #15
" Except now Osama, Halliburton AND missing explosives are on it"

An attack on Falluja clears it all off the screen, pumps up the "rally 'round the president in time of war" thing.

17. Not even close to accurate
An attack on Falluja is a pointless diversion and would be seen as such....even on Faux Noise...

"Look over there" won't work with Osama back on the radar screen....

U.S. marines poised to storm Falluja

Fri 29 October, 2004 19:45

By Michael Georgy

NEAR FALLUJA, Iraq (Reuters) - U.S. marines are preparing to storm the Iraqi cities of Falluja and Ramadi to crush Sunni Muslim insurgents and Arab fighters.

"We are gearing up for a major operation," Brigadier General Denis Hajlik told reporters at a base near Falluja. "If we do so, it will be decisive and we will whack them."

21. Not really
I think people are turned off by attacks on Falluja. It's not anything new, doncha know? I read that the women and children had already been evacuated.

Going to be a mighty uncomfortable Sunday, especially if he's too gutless to show up on Sunday on person. And I doubt he's going to be brave enough, even for a hand job from Tim Russert.

8. Perhaps the resurrection of the Election Day terra scare
I have been puzzling these last few days because in recent weeks the previously oft-repeated meme that Al Qaeda intended to disrupt the elections and intimidate Americans to vote their Mighty Leader George W out of office and install a tinny wimp that would give Osama the keys to the country. All of a sudden, the "chatter" stopped...and election day is just a few days away.

Boy -- I don't know how this bin Laden tape will help or hurt either candidate. bin Laden himself seems to be saying it doesn't matter -- he's like Nader, saying that there is no significant difference between the two, for example on US relations with Israel.

It is kinda weird watching the guy responsible for bringing the towers down speaking so calmly and quietly, and explaining what he had had in mind when attacking the US, and how he never intended to bring the towers down.
What a contrast between his manner here, and those of all the tapes we have seen, of angry masked men making horrific threats.
