Lets Think About This Logically
At the debates it was clear to me Bush wanted to avoid talking about ABL as much as possible. He wanted to keep it on Iraq and 9/11 as having something to do with it. Kerry, to his credit, wouldn't let him get away with it. (Remember the classic Bush "I know Osama Bin Laden was repsonsible for 9/11...I know that")....Bush was very UNpleased talking about OBL.

So, extending this logic, a tape showing OBL still alive, still threatening the US 3 years later, apparently healthy and comfortable HAS to be bad for Bush.

1. Unless he gets Tom Ridge to raise the Alert Level.
Bush always enjoys a couple point rise in his approval level after each Alert Level spike.

4. The raising of alert levels was mentioned on CNN
between 4:30 and 5pm CT. It's apparently being considered.

5. Honestly
Who will terror alerts scare from the polls? Not Kerry voters. I just don't believe it. We're too fired up and believe that it's this administration's fault that we're still having terror alerts!

Nope, it scares the people who are already on Bush's side. IF anyone stays home with their furniture pushed up against the front door, it's going to be Bushies, not the Dems.

2. In the bush response I just heard
He still did not even use Osama bin laden's name. He just referred to it as ...these terrorists... maybe to still make case for the invasion of Iraq like it was not a diversion.
